Introducing: Living Beyond Emptiness!
WHO ARE WE? Since 2001, we are a Non-profit Education Based Christian Volunteer Group who are committed to assisting new immigrants and disadvantaged persons; and everything we do – is for FREE. Our responsibilities are the following: teaching all subjects to all ages, assistance with governmental problems, resumes and cover letters; as well as applications, professional and personal problems. We also teach job search techniques; and secondarily, we try to build confidence and socialization skills. Our teachers are English, Chinese, Spanish, French and Armenian; and you can get help from us in Korean, Japanese and Arabic as well.
The meaning of TJLIT: We are Christians – which means we know that God is the Creator of everything, Jesus is His Son, and Holy Spirit is part of them. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one; and they are perfect. We know that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and is to be taken literally; and we know that the only way to get to heaven is through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This means that Jesus dying for our sins, is only way to get to heaven. Once we believe in Jesus – all our sins are forgiven. Faith in Jesus is the only way to get into heaven, as Jesus said:” I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Of lesser importance, is that we know that we are responsible for everyone; which makes our ministry one where we help new immigrants with whatever we can. Jesus said: “Love your neighbor as yourself"; and for this reason, we are willing to testify Jesus' Love by volunteering our time. Do you want to know more about Who Jesus is? Then please contact us by going to our Contact Us link, and we will meet you anywhere and anytime.
If you can believe this – we love all the people that God sends to us; and will do anything we can to help. In summer, we have picnics each Saturday at a lake, where a large group of us get together and have lots of fun; and, at Christmas our parties get over 200 people. We also have a number of excursions as well. We give out over two thousand of our homemade Bible tracts each week, and are blessed with some great people who help us. Please join us.
